According to the East Hanover-based company, the supplier of the whey powder used in the products has recalled their whey, due to potential presence of salmonella. Mondelez’s voluntary recall applies to the following products sold within the U.S., including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands:
Ritz Bitz Cheese (3 oz.) and Ritz Bitz Cheese (1 oz.) with best by dates between March 7 and April 13, 2019
Ritz Bitz Cheese (12-pack carton) with best by dates between March 8 and April 13, 2019
Ritz Bitz Cheese (1.5 oz.) and Ritz Bitz Cheese (30-pack carton) with best by dates between March 3 and April 13, 2019
Ritz Bitz Cheese go-packs (3 oz.) with best by dates between March 7 and April 12, 2019
