BRIEF: San Joaquin County Public Health Services to offer free flu vaccine clinic

Lodi News-Sentinel (CA) - 10/24/2014

Oct. 24--San Joaquin County Public Health Services is offering free local flu vaccine clinics on Tuesday.

The department recommends that everyone age 6 months or older get a yearly flu vaccination, especially pregnant women, seniors, people with underlying medical conditions and anyone who spends time with infants.

To avoid getting or spreading the flu, the Public Health officials recommend preventative actions such as covering coughs and sneezes, washing hands often, avoiding contact with people who are sick and staying home when sick.

Tuesday's flu vaccines are available for anyone 9 and older. They will be administered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the California Human Development Office, 631 E. Oak St., Lodi; and at the Thornton Community Center, 26675 N. Sacramento Blvd.
